I have never been great about taking vitamins. The only time in my life that I was successful with taking any sort of vitamin was during my pregnancy when I faithfully took prenatal vitamins daily. Other than that my experience has been that I didn’t really feel any different by taking them, so I didn’t. I have also heard arguments that vitamins don’t break down in the body efficiently, so they’re really a bit of a wasted effort.
So in my journey to reduce my unshapely belly and to feel better in general and more energetic, I started taking the It Works Greens. I have used it in the past, and now that I’ve used it again for a little over a week, I don’t know why I haven’t kept my cupboard stocked! The Greens come in a powder form that can be mixed into water, juice, smoothies or even yogurt. The powder form allows easy absorption into the body, and actually does make me feel like I’m getting bang for my buck.
I have more stable energy and feel a lot less cravings for caffeine and between meal snacks. I’m still tired at the end of the day, but no longer feel so exhausted that I’m just going through the motions past 6pm, or reaching for a cup o’ joe to survive another hour.

So far I have tried the Greens a few different ways: in plain water, doctored up in a fancy glass with a flavor mix, and in orange juice. Most of what I drink any given day is plain water, so personally for me, adding the Greens to my crystal clear goodness wasn’t my favorite method. The flavor wasn’t bad, and I have had it this way several times, so it’s not horrible, but I have found I like my water very plain Jane. If I want to drink it rather than just chug it down in a hurry, I add a little bit of Fit & Active Raspberry Lemonade drink mix that I get from Aldi (no aspartame). My favorite way though is with 8oz of orange juice. This has all been with the orange flavor, but I will definitely be ordering the berry next time. I’m more of a berry girl than a citrus girl anyway so I look forward to trying it!
